Meet Alma! Found lost, disoriented and heavily pregnant on the streets, she was in danger of being run over when Yadira spotted and rescued her. A few weeks after arriving at the shelter, Alma delivered seven puppies, with Yadira by her side until the early morning to ensure everyone was safe. Sadly, the trauma of her difficult pregnancy on the streets took a toll on the strength and health of her puppies and, one by one, they all passed away except for one. Now, mama and baby are thriving together in the safety of the shelter. After all Alma has been through, she deserves a life of comfort and love.
